Made from Sustainable and Responsibly Harvested Timbers:
It all starts with a unique slab of wood.

We are in close partnership with a sustainable government regulated plantation in the Asia Pacific who shares our passion for finely crafted wood furniture. Every piece of hardwood is hand selected for its unique wood grain and raw, organic edge.

One of our main goals here at NorthTeak is to be able to contribute to a more eco-friendly and sustainable world. Our talented ateliers are able to be inspired and see beauty and opportunity in nature. We feel that we all have a responsibility to protect and sustain the environment. To be able to utilize organic, natural resources instead of commercially manufacturing goods is a fundamental component to our company maxim.

Our timber stock is responsibly harvested from FSC-certified sustainable plantations using only trees that will make room for younger trees to grow. For each tree that is felled, we plant an additional 20 treelings within an immediate 10m radius where there is sufficient exposure to sunlight.

Entire Live Edge Wood Slabs

We have both two types of Live Edge Wood Species in our NorthTeak collection: Teak and Monkey Pod. These types of Live Edge Wood Tables are famously known for their beauty as well as for being highly durable. It is truly an heirloom quality piece.

What makes our Live Edge tables so unique is that all our table tops are crafted from entire, single slabs, and not joined together using smaller slabs and not made from veneered wood. These have been aged over 50 years old from the central region of JAVA. We only use the middle section of the entire tree; therefore the width for a single slab can exceed 35”.
